Sn-W veins, Brandberg West Mine
The Brandberg West Area (BWA) is situated within the Southern Kaoko Zone, North East of the Brandberg Igneous Complex and South East of the Etendeka Lavas. The BWA is divided into the two domains Ugab Domain and Goantagab Domain. The area is represented by high potential Sn-W mineralization, hosted in hydrothermal quartz veins. In this study, gangue mineral textures and fluid inclusion characteristics in geological material from the BWA will be investigated in order to establish the genetic relationship between hydrothermal fluids and the Sn-W mineralization. Additionally, patterns of pathfinder elements associated with the Sn-W hydrothermal deposits will be established.
