Case Studies

The capabilities of field portable instruments will be tested and validated under quasi-realistic conditions in several case studies. The case studies represent different stages along the Mining Value Chain and cover exploration, mining, and rehabilitation and closure. The selected sites include:

1. REE-bearing mineral sands, Erongo region
2. REE-rich Cu-Mine, Swartmodder Mine
3. Sn-W veins, Brandberg West Mine
4. In-Ga-Ge mineralization of slags, Tsumeb
